Job summary

Residential Resources, Inc. is seeking Direct Support Professionals (Relief) to assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in the greater Portland area. You will help with daily living activities, promote independence, and support community participation.

The role offers flexibility with various schedules including full-time and part-time shifts, weekends, and weekdays. Prior caregiving or DSP experience is preferred; training is provided for the right candidate, along

We are seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join our team and provide support to individuals diagnosed with intellectual disabilities in the greater community. This position requires the right candidate to have exceptional skills in areas such as multitasking, strong communication with team members, and the ability to adapt to changing priorities. Preferred skills may include, but are not limited to:

• Supporting individuals with a variety of medical needs
• Organizing and supporting community membership and participation
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a large team is required
• Time management and adaptability

Various schedule opportunities are available including full and part-time, double shifts, weekends, and weekdays. A relief schedule traditionally does not come with a set weekly schedule.

As a DSP, you are responsible for ensuring our residents are safe and healthy at all times while also promoting life skills and independence. Some of the support tasks you can expect to assist with include ambulation (walker or wheelchair), meal preparation and feeding, housekeeping, bathroom and hygiene needs, maintaining comprehensive daily documentation, and creating opportunities for meaningful community integration.

Experience with medication passing and full personal care are preferred. An active CPR, CRMA, and DSP certificate are preferred, but we will train the right candidate. Pay rates are based upon experience and accompanied certifications: $16.50 - $18.00an hour.
