Woodfords Family Services is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to support adults with autism and developmental disabilities in residential and shared living programs across Maine. No DSP certification required at start; paid DSP certification training, supervision, and mentorship are provided.

You will assist with daily living skills, promote independence, and help individuals engage with their communities, while working closely with families and a treatment team.

Competenze

• Requires high school diploma or GED; higher degrees preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle with current auto insurance.
• Direct Support Professional (DSP) certification or completion of full DSP course within six months of hire.
• CRMA certification preferred for Scarborough and Saco Residential positions.
• Portland Shared Living candidates must be comfortable providing personal care supports.

Woodfords Family Services is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join our Residential and Shared Living programs in Scarborough, Saco, and Portland, Maine!

Position Summary

As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you will play an important role in helping adults with autism, developmental disabilities, and/or intellectual disabilities live fulfilling and independent lives. You will work with individuals, their families, and other service providers to support personal goals, encourage independence, and promote community inclusion.

From preparing meals and grocery shopping to budgeting, housekeeping, transportation, and participating in community outings, you'll help individuals build the skills and confidence needed for everyday life. Depending on the program, you'll work independently with an individual and collaboratively with a treatment team.

No DSP certification, or previous experience? No problem! Woodfords provides paid DSP certification training, supervision, ongoing support, and mentorship opportunities to help you succeed.

Your responsibilities will include:

Opportunity Details

We have opportunities available in the following locations:

• Scarborough, ME – Residential Services – Full-time36–40 hours per week
• Saco, ME – Residential Services - Full-time 36–40 hours per week
• Portland, ME – Shared Living - Casual (per diem), 16 hours per week Monday–Thursday, 4:00 PM–8:00 PM

Pay rate: $17.00-$19/hour, based on experience, education, and certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required ; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
• Valid driver's license and use of a reliable vehicle with current auto insurance
• Direct Support Professional (DSP) certification or successful completion of the full DSP course within six months of hire
• CRMA certification preferred for Scarborough and Saco Residential positions
• Portland Shared Living candidates must be comfortable providing personal care supports
