A community support organization is seeking a Direct Support Professional to provide assistance to individuals with disabilities in Scarborough, ME. You will support residents with daily living tasks, ensure their well-being, and facilitate community participation. The ideal candidate should possess strong communication and multitasking skills. This full-time position offers competitive pay ranging from $16.50 to $18.00 an hour, along with various benefits including health insurance and a 401k plan.

Qualifikationen

Direct Support Professional (Scarborough, ME)

We are seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join our team and provide support to four very active male individuals diagnosed with intellectual disabilities in their Scarborough home and in the greater community. This setting requires the right candidate to have exceptional skills in areas such as multitasking, strong communication with team members, and the ability to adapt to changing priorities. Various opportunities are available including full and part-time, double shifts, weekends, and weekdays.

As a DSP, you are responsible for ensuring our residents are safe and healthy at all times while also promoting life skills and independence. Some of the support tasks you can expect to assist with include ambulation (walker or wheelchair), meal preparation and feeding, housekeeping, bathroom and hygiene needs, maintaining comprehensive daily documentation, and creating opportunities for meaningful community integration.

Experience with medication passing and full personal care are preferred. An active CPR, CRMA, and DSP certificate are preferred, but we will train the right candidate. Pay rates are based upon experience and accompanied certifications: $16.50 - $18.00 an hour.
