Job summary

Hope Network in Bay City, MI is seeking a part-time Direct Support Professional (DSP) for Harbor House on 1st and 2nd shifts. You will support individuals with daily living, mobility, health management, and community integration while promoting independence.

This role requires empathy, reliability, and a commitment to scheduled shifts including weekends and holidays; a high school diploma or GED and a Michigan driver's license are required, with CPR/First Aid certification preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid State of Michigan driver’s license.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• CPR/First Aid certification.
• Shift full-time / part-time including weekends and holidays.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and ensure safety 24/7 through various checks.
• Support crisis prevention, intervention, and resolution.
• Establish collaborative relationships built on trust and empathy.
• Help individuals participate in social and leisure activities.
• Assist with activities of daily living (transport, dressing, bathing, cooking).
• Monitor vitals and relay information to care team.
• Read and implement medical/behavioral care plans and document accurately.
• Connect individuals with community opportunities and employment goals.
