Job summary

Hope Network is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) for Holt House in Holt, MI. This part-time, 24-hour per week role supports individuals to live independently and participate in the community, with 1st and 2nd shifts.

You’ll help with daily living activities, monitor health, and assist in appointments. Training and a comprehensive benefits package accompany this meaningful caregiving opportunity.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid State of Michigan driver’s license required.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to become certified in CPR/First Aid.
• Shift Full-Time / Part Time including weekends and holidays.
• Possess basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and ensure safety 24/7; 1-on-1 or 15/30-minute checks as needed.
• Support crisis prevention, intervention, and resolution.
• Establish trust and empathy through consistent communication.
• Foster partnership with individuals served, the community, and professionals.
• Help develop problem-solving, communication, and independence skills.
• Assist with social, leisure activities and community participation.
• Support daily living activities (mobility, dressing, bathing, nutrition, etc.).
• Monitor health and vital signs, relay information to care team.
• Attend medical appointments and relay information accurately.
• Understand and implement care plans with proper documentation.
• Connect individuals to community opportunities and relationships.
