Job summary

Venture Community Services is seeking a part‑time Direct Support Professional to care for individuals with developmental disabilities in residential and community settings. The role focuses on daily care, safety, supervision and implementing ISP and behavioral plans, with a strong emphasis on health and welfare, documentation and housekeeping.

The position is part‑time with Saturday 9a–11p shifts and a rate of $17.50–$19.00 per hour, paid training provided.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or GED.
• Must be 21+ with valid driver’s license and daily use of a car on site.
• Available by telephone for daily contact.
• Certification in MAP & PABC required/maintained.

Responsibilities

• Monitor individuals for health and safety.
• Safely evacuate individuals from residence in the event of fire or disaster.
• Physically assist individuals in transfer and carries (ambulatory and non‑ambulatory).
• Educate and supervise self‑medication programs.
• Assist with meals, shopping, and finances.
• Maintain daily records and housekeeping of residence.
