Job summary

Venture Community Services in Massachusetts is seeking a Direct Support Professional to provide daily care, supervision and safety for individuals with developmental disabilities in residential and community settings, including overnight awake coverage.

You will follow through on ISP and behavior plans, assist with transfers, meals, finances and medical appointments, document daily data, and participate in staff meetings as required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Experience with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.
• Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays may be required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor health and safety of individuals.
• Safely evacuate during fire or disaster.
• Assist transfers and mobility for ambulatory and non-ambulatory individuals.
• Educate and monitor self-medication programs.
• Record daily data and maintain documentation.
