Job summary

Whole Life is seeking Direct Support Professionals in Connecticut to provide person-centered care for adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities. The role focuses on ADLs, independence, and community integration, building trusting relationships with clients and families.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily living activities, documenting care in English, and promoting safety and dignity. Training is provided, and a weekly 32-hour schedule is offered with varied shifts.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Must have a valid driver's license and an ID for background checks.
• Must pass background checks and post-hire screenings.
• Must be able to stand, lift up to 100 lbs, and assist with ADLs.
• Must document care in English and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and meals.
• Administer medications and monitor vital signs.
• Ensure a clean, safe living environment through light housekeeping.
• Engage clients in social activities and community outings.
• Use mobility equipment with proper technique and document observations.
• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality and implement care plans.
