Job summary

Whole Life in Connecticut is seeking a Direct Support Professional to provide compassionate, person-centered care to adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor health, and support community integration in a residential setting.

Responsibilities include ADLs, medication administration, documenting observations, and collaborating with care teams to implement personalized care plans.

Qualifications

• Proof of High School diploma or GED.
• Background check, safe driving record, and Abuse Registry Check required.
• Must pass a Fit for Duty physical and TB test within 30 days of hire.
• May need to lift up to 100 lbs.
• Must document care in English and communicate with clients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist with ADLs: bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, meal prep.
• Administer medications and monitor vital signs.
• Maintain a clean, safe living environment with light housekeeping/laundry.
• Engage clients in social activities and community outings.
• Use mobility equipment safely and effectively.
• Document daily activities and maintain HIPAA confidentiality.
