Maxim Healthcare is seeking a Direct Support Professional to assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in achieving personal goals and improving quality of life. The role includes daily living support, potential transportation to activities, and documentation of progress.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED.
• NCI/CPI training required.
• CPR/FA certification required.
• TB screening
• Active driver’s license required.
• Experience with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and English proficiency required.
• Proficiency with mobile devices for documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal prep, and household chores.
• May transport clients to and from community activities.
• Support individuals in achieving developmental goals and fostering independence.
• Encourage community participation and accompany individuals on outings and social activities.
• Document observations and progress on goals and ensure a safe environment for clients.
