Job summary

A community care organization in Dunmore is seeking a Direct Support Professional to assist individuals with disabilities in daily activities. Responsibilities include following care plans, assisting with household tasks, and supporting community outings. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma and a desire to make a positive impact on the lives of others. Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Able to sit, stand, and walk for several hours each day.
• Able to bend, squat, or kneel as part of daily care.

Responsibilities

• Follow and carry out each person’s Individual Support Plan (ISP).
• Help with housekeeping tasks to keep the home clean, safe, and healthy.
• Take individuals to medical appointments and ensure paperwork is done correctly.

Skills

Experience with individuals with disabilities

Ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds

Good communication skills

Education

High School Diploma or GED
