Benhaven, Inc. is seeking Direct Support Professionals to assist individuals with autism in their homes and the community, with duties focused on promoting socialization, vocational exploration, and recreational participation.

Positions listed for Wallingford require evening and weekend availability (12-hour shifts on Fridays 4-8pm and Saturdays/Sundays 12pm-4pm). Training in PMT and CPR is provided if needed. Benhaven is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Formación

• Must have experience working with individuals with autism.
• Must pass background checks.
• Must have CT driver's license and a registered insured vehicle.
• PMT (physical management training) and CPR training will be provided if needed.

Benhaven is looking for Direct Support Professionals to work for our Individual & Family Supports, assisting individuals with autism in their homes and the community. We are seeking enthusiastic and energetic applicants to provide support to our individuals.

Available positions listed below:

Wallingford: (12 hours) Friday 4-8pm, Saturday & Sunday 12pm-4pm

Responsibilities:

The following duties are assigned to this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.

Work with individuals on the Autism Spectrum and possibly their families:

• Encourage and assist in increasing socialization
• Encourage and assist individuals with the pursuit of vocational opportunities
• Assist and provide opportunities for individuals to participate in recreational activities

Experience & Requirements:

• Must have experience working with individuals with autism.
• Mustbe able to pass a variety of background checks.
• Musthave a CT driver's license.
• Applicant must have a registered and insured vehicle that can pass a safety inspection.
• Will train in PMT (physical management training) and CPR, if not already certified.
