Job summary

Community Access Services (CAS) is actively seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) for a Full-Time role in Saint Helens, Oregon. You will assist adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to build independence, life skills, and community participation, while fostering personal growth and goal achievement.

No prior DSP experience is required as CAS offers paid training, hands-on support, and ongoing professional development to help you succeed and advance within the organization.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED.
• A valid driver’s license is required for all day-shift and swing-shift positions.
• Ability to pass a national background check.
• Ability to meet company driver approval requirements.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds and assist with mobility support as needed.
• Willingness to complete required training and follow established safety and support procedures.
• Previous experience is welcome but not required.

Responsibilities

• Build meaningful relationships with the people you support.
• Assist with cooking, personal care, hygiene, household tasks, and daily living activities.
• Encourage independence and help individuals develop practical skills and make choices.
• Support community outings, appointments, and recreational activities.
• Provide medication support according to training and procedures.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming home environment.
• Complete required documentation accurately and consistently.
• Advocate for individual rights and dignity.
