Job summary

Community Access Services (CAS) is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) in Saint Helens, Oregon. This full-time role supports adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live independently and participate in the community.

You'll receive paid training, a starting pay of $21.75–$22.75 per hour with a $1,000 hiring bonus, and benefits including health coverage, retirement plans, and paid time off. No prior DSP experience is required—training is provided.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED (or equivalent).
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to pass a national background check.
• Ability to become an approved company driver.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs and assist with mobility support.

Responsibilities

• Build positive, supportive relationships with individuals served.
• Assist with daily living activities (cooking, personal care, hygiene, household tasks).
• Support community outings, appointments, recreation, and personal goals.
• Encourage independence, confidence, and skill development.
• Administer medications and complete documentation accurately.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming home environment.
• Advocate for the choices, dignity, and well‑being of the people you support.

What Does a Direct Support Professional Do?

As a Direct Support Professional, you'll help adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities live as independently as possible while building meaningful relationships.

Responsibilities Include
