Job summary

Hope Haven, Inc. is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to support clients with intellectual disabilities or chronic mental health conditions, helping them meet their physical, mental, emotional, and social needs according to individualized goals.

DSPs provide care and training per service plans, document client logs, assist with daily activities, coordinate transportation, and ensure safety for clients and staff alike.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED/HSED.
• Good written and verbal communication skills and basic computer skills.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment.
• Ability to complete/pass required medication administration course.
• Valid Class C driver’s license required.
• Clearance from all applicable background checks.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals to meet personal goals across physical, mental, emotional, and social needs.
• Provide care activities per service plan, including hygiene, bathing, toileting, escort, transition time, and mealtime assistance.
• Teach self-control and self-management skills as trained.
• Complete client logs and charts within 24 hours with supervisor approval.
• Support daily schedules and arrange transportation as needed.
• Promote safety and follow all safety procedures.
