Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) seeks a Direct Support Professional II for Richmond, TX. The role supports individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in state facilities, primarily morning, evening, and night shifts, with additional pay for evenings/weekends and potential work at maximum security locations.

Responsibilities include routine and emergency care, training, and documentation.

Formación

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 6 months of work experience in related care preferred.
• Valid Texas driver’s license or ability to obtain within 90 days; background checks required.

Responsabilidades

• Assist individuals with daily living activities such as grooming, bathing, feeding, dressing.
• Observe and report changes in health, behavior or conditions to supervisors.
• Document routine activities and follow individualized plans and training programs.
• Work as part of a team; may mentor new DSP staff and lead shifts.
