Job summary

You will work closely with the supervisor to plan daily activities, provide day-to-day care, and foster independence through person-centered approaches.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, with preferred experience in mental health or human services.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Preferred experience in mental health, special education, behavior support, or another human services field.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to demonstrate emotional maturity and patience to support individuals with I/DD.
• Must have acceptable driving record and valid driver’s license.
• Ability to represent the agency in the community in a positive manner.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day organization and implementation of activities that promote an organized and positive environment for individuals served.
• Maintain required documentation including progress notes and records.
• Support individuals with activities of daily living to maximize growth and independence.
• Maintain program locations, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and readiness for operations.
• Assist with medication administration and related documentation as needed.
• Attend team meetings and bi-weekly coaching to ensure effective communication and services.
