Job summary

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED.
• Experience or training in mental health, special education, behavior support, or another human services field is preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to demonstrate emotional maturity and patience needed to support individuals with IDD and foster independence.
• Must have an acceptable driving record and valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Organize daily activities with a person-centered approach to promote independence.
• Maintain required documentation and progress notes.
• Support individuals with daily living activities and hygiene.
• Assist with medication administration and safety.
• Keep locations safe and clean; report maintenance needs in a timely manner.
• Participate in team meetings and coordinate with supervisors.
