Job summary

HopeTree Family Services is seeking a Direct Support Professional to assist individuals with IDD in daily living and community activities. The DSP will support scheduling, documentation, and safety across multiple locations, applying person-centered approaches and promoting independence.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED; preferred experience in mental health, special education, or behavior support.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience or training in mental health, special education, behavior support, or another human services field preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old and able to meet emotional maturity and patience needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day organization and implement activities that promote an organized, positive environment.
• Follow person-centered approaches and promote independence and community inclusion.
• Maintain documentation of progress toward measurable goals, and conduct required progress notes and records.
• Assist individuals with daily living tasks, personal hygiene, and medical care instructions as directed.
