Job summary

Help at Home is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide one-on-one support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in home and community settings.

The DSP will help build daily living skills, promote independence, and support individuals toward personal goals. Starting pay ranges from $18–$20 per hour, with a $1,000 sign-on bonus for eligible new hires and opportunities for training, benefits, and flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older and meet one of the listed education/training options.
• Background checks and in-service training required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation with proof of insurance.

Responsibilities

• Help individuals build daily living skills and participate in their communities.
• Read and follow each Individual Support Plan.
• Report updates and concerns to the IDD Program Specialist.
• Assist with cooking, cleaning, grooming, hygiene, and transportation.
• Encourage participation in shopping, social events, and appointments.
• Document services and progress accurately.
• Communicate with team to provide high-quality support.
