Job summary

Help at Home is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to provide one-on-one support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their homes and communities.

You will assist with daily living activities, support community participation, and track progress toward personal goals while reporting to the care team. Competitive pay, benefits, paid time off, and a $1,000 sign-on bonus available for eligible new hires.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent (or completion of state-approved training).
• Ability to pass required background checks and in-service training.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation with proof of insurance, vehicle registration, and inspection.

Responsibilities

• Read and follow each individual's Individual Support Plan.
• Report updates and progress to the IDD Program Specialist.
• Assist with daily living activities (cooking, cleaning, grooming, transportation).
• Encourage participation in shopping, social events, appointments, and community activities.
• Support individuals toward personal goals and greater independence.
• Promote personal choice, self-advocacy, dignity, and respect.
• Document services and progress accurately.
• Communicate with team members to provide consistent, high-quality support.
