Job summary

Help at Home is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide one-on-one support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, helping them live safely, independently, and with dignity at home and in the community.

The role offers competitive pay of $18-$20 per hour, a $1,000 sign-on bonus for eligible new hires, flexible scheduling, paid training, health benefits, PTO, mileage reimbursement, and opportunities for career development.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old and meet one of the listed requirements.
• Willing to complete background checks and in-service training.
• Reliable transportation with valid insurance, vehicle registration, and inspection.

Responsibilities

• Help individuals build daily living skills and participate in communities.
• Follow each Individual Support Plan and report updates.
• Assist with cooking, cleaning, grooming, and transportation.
• Encourage participation in shopping, social events, appointments, and other community activities.
• Support individuals toward personal goals and greater independence.
• Promote personal choice, self-advocacy, dignity, and respect.
• Document services and progress accurately.
• Communicate with team for consistent, high-quality support.
