Whole Life seeks compassionate Direct Support Professionals in Connecticut to provide individualized care for adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities. The role centers on daily living assistance, promoting independence, and community integration in a supportive team environment.

Responsibilities include assisting with ADLs, administering medications, documenting care, and ensuring a safe living space while building trust with clients and families.

Formación

• Proof of High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Proof of valid driver's license, social security card, birth certificate or passport.
• Ability to pass a background check, safe driving record and abuse registry check.
• Post-hire, pass a Fit for Duty physical and TB test within 30 days.
• Must be able to perform ADLs and document care in English.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and meal prep.
• Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and support medical appointments.
• Ensure a clean, safe living environment through light housekeeping and laundry.
• Engage clients in social activities, community outings, and promote independence.
• Use mobility equipment with proper techniques.
• Document daily activities, observations, and incidents accurately.
• Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA regulations.
• Implement individualized care plans.
