Whole Life seeks compassionate Direct Support Professionals to provide person-centered care for adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities in Connecticut. You will assist with daily living activities, promote independence, and help clients participate in community and recreational activities with dignity and respect.

Join a dedicated team with opportunities for training and advancement, including CPR/First Aid and medication certification programs.

Formación

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Valid driver's license and required identification (SSN card, birth certificate, or passport).
• Background check, DSS Abuse Registry Check, safe driving record required; post-hire Fit for Duty and TB test within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to stand, move, twist, bend, kneel, reach, lift, and walk for most of shift; capable of lifting up to 100 lbs unassisted in some roles.
• Ability to document care in English and communicate with clients and coworkers verbally and in writing.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and meal preparation.
• Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and support medical appointments.
• Maintain a clean, safe living environment through light housekeeping and laundry.
• Engage clients in social activities, community outings, and opportunity-based decisions to promote independence.
• Document daily activities, observations, and incidents accurately.
• Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA regulations.
