Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health in New Jersey is hiring a Direct Support Professional to help adults with autism and developmental disabilities gain independence, life skills, and community participation. You will join a collaborative team focused on growth and ongoing training.

Starting salary at $20.42 per hour with increases based on education and experience. We offer time off, affordable health care, student loan reimbursement through ASCEND, and a supportive, team-driven environment.

Qualifikationen

• A high school diploma or GED is required.
• A valid, non-provisional driver's license is required.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Two-week paid orientation training (hybrid and in person).
• Sound judgment, calm decision-making, and knowing when to ask for support.
• Empathy, reliability, and a team-oriented approach to supporting adults with autism and developmental disabilities.

Aufgaben

• Direct Support Professionals may work in residential group homes or vocational day programs.
• Help ensure the safety, health, and well-being of individuals in our care.
• Coach and assist individuals with daily living skills (food prep, cooking, cleaning, and shopping).
• Support planning, implementation, and documentation of programs addressing social, emotional, physical, and personal needs.
• Plan and participate in community-based employment, day programs, and outings to promote involvement and independence.
• Build positive relationships with family members to help individuals thrive.
• Safely transporting individuals to appointments, day programs, and community activities.
