Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• At least 18 years old.
• Two-week paid orientation that can be hybrid and in-person.
• Sound judgment and calm decision-making under pressure.
• Empathy, reliability and a team-oriented approach to supporting adults with autism and developmental disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Direct Support Professionals may work in residential group homes or vocational day programs.
• Help ensure the safety, health, and well-being of individuals in our care.
• Coach and assist individuals with daily living skills (food prep, cooking, cleaning, shopping).
• Support planning, implementation and documentation of programs addressing social, emotional, physical and personal needs.
• Plan and participate in community-based employment, volunteering and outings promoting involvement and independence.
• Build positive relationships with family to help individuals thrive under our care.
• Safely transport individuals to appointments, programs and community activities.
