Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid, non-provisional driver’s license.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Two-week paid orientation training (hybrid and in person).
• Empathy, reliability, and a team-oriented approach to supporting adults with autism and developmental disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Direct Support Professionals may work in residential group homes or vocational day programs.
• Help ensure the safety, health, and well-being of individuals in our care.
• Coach and assist individuals as they build daily living skills such as cooking, cleaning, and shopping.
• Support planning, implementation, and documentation of programs addressing social, emotional, physical, and personal needs.
• Plan and participate in community-based employment, outings, and day program activities to promote involvement and independence.
• Build positive, productive relationships with individual’s family members to support thriving outcomes.
• Safely transporting individuals to appointments, day programs, and community activities.
