Beacon Specialized Living Services is seeking Direct Support Professionals to help individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, autism, and mental health challenges live fuller lives. No experience is required; we provide comprehensive on-the-job training and support.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be 18+ with a valid driver’s license.
• Compassionate and patient demeanor when working with individuals with mental illness and co-occurring disorders.
• Preferred: 1–2 years in healthcare or social services.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide Support & Care: Encourage individuals to meet their goals per person-centered plans.
• Foster a Safe Environment: Create a trusting, safe, respectful home setting.
• Meal Prep & Housekeeping: Prepare meals and assist with laundry and cleaning.
• Transportation & Advocacy: Transport to appointments and advocate for residents.
• Medication Administration: Administer medications as prescribed.
• 24/7 Availability: Be awake and accessible in homes needing around-the-clock care.
• Supervise Daily Activities: Support personal care, life skills, and social activities.
