Job summary

Beacon Specialized Living Services is seeking a dedicated Direct Support Professional (DSP) to help individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, autism, and mental health challenges live more independently and achieve personal goals.

You will provide day‑to‑day support, monitor safety, assist with meals, transport, medication administration, and activities while upholding residents’ rights.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Compassionate and patient demeanor when working with individuals with mental illness and co‑occurring disorders.

Responsibilities

• Provide Support & Care to residents following person-centered plans.
• Foster a safe, respectful environment aligned with residents’ rights.
• Meal prep and housekeeping including laundry and cleaning.
• Transport residents to appointments and advocate on their behalf.
• Administer medications as prescribed and ensure correct dosages.
• Remain available for round‑the‑clock care in communities as needed.
• Supervise daily activities and support life skills and social engagement.
