Job summary

Beacon Specialized Living Services is seeking Direct Support Professionals to help residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities, autism, and mental health challenges live more independently. No experience required; we provide training and opportunities for growth.

You will support daily living, transportation, medication administration, and safety. The LEAP program offers leadership development and advancement with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Compassionate and patient demeanor when working with individuals who have mental illness and co-occurring disorders.

Responsibilities

• Provide Support & Care: Encourage individuals to meet goals following person-centered and behavior plans.
• Foster a Safe Environment: Create a trust-filled space where rights are upheld.
• Meal Prep & Housekeeping: Cook meals and assist with laundry and cleaning.
• Transportation & Advocacy: Transport to appointments and advocate on their behalf.
• Medication Administration: Administer medications as prescribed.
• 24/7 Availability: Remain awake and accessible in homes requiring round-the-clock care.
• Supervise Daily Activities: Support personal care, life skills, and social activities.
