Beacon Specialized Living Services in Kentucky is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to help individuals with disabilities and mental health challenges live more independently. You will provide daily care, support personal goals, and promote a safe, respectful home environment.

No prior experience is required; we offer on-the-job training and a comprehensive benefits package. The BEACON LEAP program supports growth and advancement within a mission-driven team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be 18 years or older and have a valid driver's license.
• Compassionate, patient demeanor with individuals with disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and care to residents, following person-centered plans.
• Foster a safe, respectful home environment while protecting rights.
• Meal prep and housekeeping to maintain a clean living space.
• Transport residents to appointments and advocate on their behalf.
• Administer medications as prescribed and ensure correct dosages.
• Be available around the clock as needed in homes with 24/7 care.
• Supervise daily activities and support life skills and social activities.
