Job summary

Beacon Specialized Living Services is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, autism, and mental health challenges. No experience is required—training and growth opportunities are provided to help you thrive.

You will help residents live independently, follow person-centered plans, and participate in daily activities, meals, transportation, and documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Compassionate and patient demeanor when working with individuals who have mental illness and co-occurring disorders.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and care to individuals throughout the day following person-centered and behavior plans.
• Foster a safe environment where individuals feel safe, supported, and respected.
• Assist with meal prep, laundry, and housekeeping to maintain a clean home environment.
• Transport individuals to appointments and advocate on their behalf; assist with documentation.
• Administer medications as prescribed and ensure correct dosage.
• Remain available to provide 24/7 care in homes requiring round-the-clock support.
• Supervise daily activities and support personal care, life skills, and social activities.
