Job summary

Devereux is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) at our Lakehurst, NJ day program. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to support individuals in daily living skills, from meal prep to community activities, while prioritizing safety and empowerment.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to attend paid orientation. Devereux emphasizes Servant Leadership and a collaborative work culture.

Qualifications

• Empathetic with a team approach to care.
• Be 18 years or older and possess a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to attend ten days of paid onsite orientation.
• Commitment to safety and helping individuals achieve daily living skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure participants are safe and healthy while attending the day program.
• Supervise, coach, and assist individuals in daily living skills (food prep, cooking, cleaning, shopping).
• Plan, implement and document programs meeting social, emotional, physical, and personal needs.
• Plan and participate in community-based jobs, volunteer opportunities, and outings.
• Schedule and transport individuals to and from the day program.
