Job summary

Bancroft is hiring a Direct Support Professional for our Gloucester Program in Mullica Hill, NJ. This onsite role supports autistic and developmentally challenged individuals, delivering daily living support, skill-building activities, and compassionate care.

Responsibilities include following behavioral plans, data collection, coordinating transportation, and ensuring safety during appointments and outings.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age
• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid Driver’s License in candidate’s legal name and current address; one year minimum driving experience
• Minimum of six months related work experience OR Bachelor’s degree or current enrollment in a degree program in Psychology, Social Work, or related field
• Aspiration to work with autistic, intellectually and developmentally challenged individuals
• Prior experience with autism or developmental disabilities preferred
• Effective verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Carry out behavioral treatment plans and collect direct observational data
• Assist with daily living activities (hygiene, meals, money management, housekeeping)
• Provide personal care and supervision to support life growth and skill development
• Accompany individuals to healthcare appointments and community outings; provide safe transportation
• Resolve problem behavior situations following Bancroft’s safety and crisis protocols
• Complete paperwork and maintain regular documentation; communicate with residents, families and guardians
