Homes for Independent Living in Wisconsin seeks a Direct Support Professional – Float (DSP- Float) to deliver direct care across a regional area, following individualized service plans and Behavioral Support Plans. You will support clients with daily tasks, monitor health needs, assist with meals and personal care, and perform light housekeeping in alignment with guidelines.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 18 years of age.
• Personal vehicle with proof of insurance.
• Valid Wisconsin Driver’s license for the past 3 years.
• Ability to work a variety of shifts.
• Communication & Problem-Solving skills.
• Successful completion of a caregiver background check, TB test and Health Screen.

Responsibilities

• Work in a variety of programs within a regional area.
• Interact with clients assisting with day to day tasks.
• Engage in fun activities with clients.
• Health monitoring and medication administration.
• Meal preparation in accordance to dietary guidelines.
• Light housekeeping.
• Assist with personal cares as needed.
• Redirect client behaviors.
