Aurora Community Services is seeking a Direct Support Professional (Caregiver) for FLOAT shifts in Lacrosse/La Crosse, WI. The role involves assisting individuals with disabilities in community living settings, with paid training and a supportive, employee-owned culture.

The position requires at least 18 years old, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Prior experience with adults with disabilities is valued.

Qualifications

• Age 18 or older.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record for transport.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to communicate in basic English.
• Experience with adults with disabilities is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Seek out opportunities for community/social integration.
• Help consumers plan and prepare for events and outings.
• Assist with self-care (dressing, bathing/showering, grooming, toileting).
• Medication administration.
• Meal preparation/planning.
• Transport of consumers.
• Follow individual service plans.
• Other duties as assigned.
