Job summary

Homes for Independent Living is seeking a Direct Support Professional – Float to provide direct care across a regional Wisconsin area. You will support clients with daily tasks, activities, health monitoring, and medication administration while following individualized service plans.

Responsibilities include meal prep, light housekeeping, assisting with personal care, and redirecting behaviors as needed. A driver’s license, background check, TB test, and health screen are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 18 years of age.
• Personal vehicle with proof of insurance.
• Valid Wisconsin Driver’s license for the past 3 years.
• Ability to work a variety of shifts.
• Successful completion of a caregiver background check, TB test and Health Screen.

Responsibilities

• Work in a variety of programs within a regional area.
• Interact with clients assisting with day to day tasks.
• Engage in fun activities with clients.
• Health monitoring and medication administration.
• Meal preparation in accordance to dietary guidelines.
• Light housekeeping.
• Assist with personal cares as needed.
• Redirect client behaviors.
