Job summary

United Family Home Care is seeking a compassionate Direct Support Professional (DSP) to assist individuals with developmental and physical disabilities in daily living activities and independent living.

The DSP will promote safety, provide companionship, and help clients achieve personal goals while following care plans and organizational policies. Flexible full-time, part-time, and per diem shifts are available to fit various schedules.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in caregiving, healthcare, or human services preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living tasks (bathing, dressing, grooming, meal prep).
• Support clients in developing life skills and personal goals.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Administer medication as directed (if certified).
• Maintain accurate documentation of services and client progress.
• Ensure a safe, clean, and healthy living environment.
• Accompany clients to appointments and community activities.
• Follow individualized care plans and organizational policies.
