Arc of Acadiana seeks Direct Support Professionals to provide in-home and community support for adults with developmental disabilities in the Opelousas area. DSPs implement individualized plans, promote independence, and help participants engage in daily activities and community life.

You will participate in training, document progress, and collaborate with supervisors while maintaining participant dignity and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• Experience in human services helpful.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
• Commitment to person-centered support and dignity.
• Reliable, patient, and compassionate.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized support based on each participant's goals and routines.
• Assist with activities of daily living and in-home tasks.
• Encourage independence and community inclusion.
• Document notes and report progress and needs.
