Job summary

Arc of Acadiana seeks Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to assist residents in Community Group Homes in Louisiana. You will support daily living activities, personal care, and community involvement in a home-like setting, promoting safety, dignity, and independence.

The role offers day, evening, and night shifts, with full-time and part-time options. Training, CMA certification support, and ongoing supervision are provided to help you succeed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Previous or non-required experience in direct care preferred.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license required for vehicle transportation roles.
• Availability for evenings, nights, weekends, and varying shifts.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living.
• Promote independence and participation with supervision.
• Support residents in building daily living, social, and functional skills.
• Ensure safety and supervision during all shifts.
• Transport residents when required.
