Job summary

Easterseals PORT Health is seeking a Direct Support Professional to assist individuals with IDD in their home and community in Charlotte, NC. You will support daily living activities, transport clients, and help plan schedules, while documenting care in the electronic health system.

This role offers both part-time and full-time options, with flexible weekend and weekday shifts. Training includes CPR/first-aid, and opportunities exist for growth within a trusted nonprofit organization.

Qualifications

• Experience: entry-level; on-the-job training provided.
• Education: high school diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge: basic housekeeping, basic nutrition, safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Assist with everyday tasks in the home and community setting (housekeeping, meal prep, cooking, cleaning).
• Provide personal care such as bathing and dressing; assist with toiletry and diapers when needed.
• Transport client to appointments and run errands as required.
