Easterseals PORT Health delivers essential disability, mental health, and support services across North Carolina. As a Direct Support Professional, you’ll assist individuals with IDD at home and in the community, helping with daily tasks, personal care, transportation, and schedule planning.

You’ll document activities in our health system and contribute to meaningful client outcomes. We offer flexible part-time and as-needed roles, paid training including CPR/first-aid and safety protocols, plus

Qualifikationen

• Entry-level position; on-the-job training provided.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of basic housekeeping, basic nutrition, and safety protocols.
• Interpersonal skills, attention to detail and dependability are essential.
• Technology: familiarity with EHR systems or willingness to learn.
• Transportation: reliable transport, driver's license and auto insurance.

Aufgaben

• Provide care in the home of the individual and in the community they live in.
• Assist with daily tasks such as housekeeping, meal preparation, cooking and cleaning; personal care such as bathing and dressing; transportation and employment support.
• Transport the client to appointments and run errands.
• Help plan and organize their schedule.
• Daily documentation and reporting in the electronic health system of record.
