Job summary

Easterseals PORT Health is hiring Direct Support Professionals to assist individuals with IDD in home and community settings. You will support daily living tasks, personal care, meal prep, and transportation as needed.

We offer flexible schedules, paid training, and opportunities for growth in a supportive team environment. Prior experience is not required, but reliability and compassion are essential.

Qualifications

• Entry‑level position; on‑the‑job training provided.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic housekeeping, basic nutrition, and safety knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Provide care in the home and community setting.
• Assist with daily tasks: housekeeping, meals, cooking, cleaning; personal care including bathing, dressing, toiletry, and diaper changes; provide employment support.
• Possibly transport the client to appointments and run errands.
• Help plan and organize the client’s schedule.
• Daily documentation and reporting in the electronic health record.
