Job summary

Easterseals PORT Health is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to assist individuals with IDD in home and community settings. You will support daily living tasks, meal prep, personal care, and transportation while documenting care in the electronic health system.

Flexible part-time positions with paid training and growth opportunities. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, basic housekeeping knowledge, and dependable interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• Entry-level position with on-the-job training provided.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of basic housekeeping, basic nutrition, and safety protocols.
• Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and dependability.
• Tech-savvy with EHR systems or willing to learn.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home and community-based care.
• Assist with daily tasks such as housekeeping, meal prep, cooking, and cleaning; personal care including bathing and dressing.
• Transport clients to appointments and run errands.
• Plan and organize schedules for clients.
• Document and report care in the electronic health record.
