Job summary

The Verland Foundation Inc. in Natrona Heights, PA, is seeking a Direct Support Professional for our ORC House. This part-time DSP role provides exceptional care to residents with complex needs and entails early morning weekend shifts.

Responsibilities include assisting with meals, activities, personal care, and transportation. A high school diploma, valid driver’s license, and ability to lift are required. Training is provided; 30+ hours weekly benefit package available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Must pass background, physical and drug screening.
• Reliable transportation to and from shifts.

Responsibilities

• Enrich and support the lives of residents while maintaining a safe and healthy environment.
• Introduce and encourage skill development through active treatment activities.
• Implement individualized programs; record observations and daily progress notes.
• Participate in planning social, home, and recreational activities.
• Assist with meals and perform cleaning and laundry duties in the house.
• Transport clients to appointments and activities in Verland vehicles.
• Bathe, dress, and assist clients with personal hygiene.
• Housekeeping duties as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
