Job summary

The Verland Foundation Inc. Cheswick, Pennsylvania is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) for our Reaghard House in Cheswick, PA. This part-time role provides exceptional care to residents with complex needs in a home setting, with a schedule of 24 hours per week.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily living, personal care, meals, and activities, plus reporting observations and progress. A drug screen, background check, and physicals are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift and transfer without restrictions.
• Must pass a full background check, physical and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Enrich and support the lives of residents while maintaining a safe environment.
• Encourage skill development through active treatment activities.
• Record observations and daily progress notes; implement individualized programs.
• Participate in planning social, home, and recreational activities.
• Assist with meals, housekeeping, and laundry duties in the house.
• Transport clients to appointments and activities in Verland vehicles.
• Bathe, dress, and assist with personal hygiene.
