Job summary

Venture Community Services seeks a Direct Support Professional to empower adults 22+ with intellectual and developmental disabilities, aiding daily living, appointments, and community participation in a caring, respectful environment.

Part-time roles are 14 hours/week, paying $17.50–$19.00 per hour with paid training and a $500–$1000 sign-on bonus. The DSP will complete required trainings such as CPR/First Aid and MAP, and support individuals to live as independently as possible.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ with reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Speak, read, and write fluent English.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule including holidays, overnights, or double shifts.

Responsibilities

• Advocate for and support adults 22+ with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Assist with household maintenance, meal prep, shopping, bathing, toileting, dressing, and personal care.
• Accompany individuals to medical appointments and help them engage in the community.
• Follow Behavior Support Plans and Individual Support Plans and assist with goals and medical guidelines.
