Job summary

Venture Community Services Inc. is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to advocate for and support adults 22+ with intellectual and developmental disabilities, helping them pursue independence and participate in daily activities. You will assist with household tasks, meals, shopping, and personal care.

The role includes paid orientation and training ( CPR/First Aid, MAP). This part-time position (32 hours) offers $17.50–$19.00 per hour, a $1,000 sign-on bonus, and a supportive, inclusive

Qualifications

• Help individuals with disabilities participate in community and daily life.
• Able to work as a creative, engaged, teamwork-oriented member of the staff.
• Commitment to independence, empowerment, and person-centered support.
• Fluent English reading/writing and good communication.

Responsibilities

• Advocate for adults 22+ with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Assist with household tasks, meal prep, shopping, bathing, dressing and personal care.
• Accompany to medical appointments and community activities as needed.
• Follow Behavior and Individual Support Plans and safety guidelines.
• Administer medications per guidelines and maintain wellness checks.
