Job summary

Venture Community Services Inc. is seeking a Direct Support Professional to empower adults 22+ with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You will assist with daily living tasks, attend appointments, and help participants participate in their community.

Part-time position (24 hours) with a pay rate of $17.50–$19.00 per hour and a company-paid sign-on bonus of $500. Training is provided, including orientation, CPR/First Aid, and MAP, with opportunities for growth in a supportive, inclusive

Qualifications

• Fluent English required for communication with participants and team members.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license may be needed for community activities.
• Commitment to assisting people with varying disabilities to participate fully in their community and in their own lives.
• Employees must possess the knowledge, skills and abilities listed above, and demonstrate that they can perform the essential functions of the job.

Responsibilities

• Advocate for and support adults 22+ with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Assist with household tasks, meal prep, shopping, bathing, toileting, dressing, etc.
• Accompany participants to medical appointments and community activities.
• Follow Behavior Support Plans and Individual Support Plans as required.
