Hope Haven Inc. is seeking Direct Support Professionals in Estherville, IA to support clients with intellectual disabilities or chronic mental health conditions.

You will help meet physical, emotional, and social needs and work within individualized service plans to promote independence. Responsibilities include assisting with daily activities, documenting care, and coordinating transportation while maintaining safety.

Formación

• High school graduate or GED/HSED preferred.
• Good written and verbal communication skills; basic computer skills.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment in decisions.
• Ability to complete/pass required medication administration course.
• Valid Class C driver’s license required.
• Clearance from background checks as required by service standards.
• Reliable transportation.
• Provide proof of state minimum liability insurance coverage.

Responsabilidades

• Help clients meet physical, mental, emotional, and social needs.
• Provide support and training per the service plan, including hygiene and activities assistance.
• Teach self-management skills per training.
• Complete client logs and documentation within 24 hours with supervisor approval.
• Assist clients in daily activities and schedule planning.
• Arrange appointments and transportation and ensure paperwork is complete.
• Follow safety procedures and promote personal safety.
